What is an order picking trolley for full-case work ?
A full-case order picking trolley is a material handling truck (electric pallet truck, stacker, or forklift) used to prepare orders as full cartons or full cases on pallets. The operator rides the machine, driving through the aisles to pick cases according to the orders sent by the information system.
In its smart version, two technologies turn this standard truck into a high-precision picking tool :
On-board weighing
The scales are integrated directly into the truck’s forks. Weighing is precise and reliable. Each time a case is placed on the pallet, its weight is captured and validated (weight verification) within the operator’s own motion. The check is invisible. It costs zero operating time.
Control software
Three levels of on-board software depending on your needs.
With Connect, the trolley becomes connected: it transmits weighing data (tare, gross, net) to your information system in real time.
With Smart, picking is guided with weight verification and machine learning.

Full-case picking means preparing orders as full cartons or full cases placed on pallets: this is what the Balea Pickeur is for. Piece picking is done unit by unit (or by the piece): this is what the Balea Shopeur is for.
Do I need to change my WMS to use the Balea Pickeur ?
No.
At the Connect level, the trolley becomes connected and sends weighing data to your existing WMS.
At the Smart level, picking is guided with weight verification. At the Solea level (a WES on an on-board PC), you get fully optimised order fulfilment.
In every case, your existing infrastructure is preserved.
