What is intelligent order picking in logistics ?

What is the role of weight verification in order picking ?
Weight verification consists of automatically weighing each order during and/or after picking to confirm that the right products in the right quantities have been collected. Compared with barcode scanning, which confirms that an item has been scanned but not that it has been correctly placed in the right container, weight verification catches invisible errors: omissions, wrong quantities, reference mix-ups. It is today the most reliable method for achieving 100% order fulfilment accuracy, particularly in sectors where the cost of errors is high (pharmaceutical, cosmetics, food and beverage, luxury).
